To carry out the migration from Universal Analytics (UA) to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) efficiently and effectively, we require the following:
- Access to Your Analytics Account: This is crucial to thoroughly understand your current analytics setup, perform a comprehensive audit, and identify any potential issues that might affect the migration process. By reviewing your UA configuration, we can ensure that all necessary metrics, dimensions, events, and other configurations are properly migrated to GA4. Additionally, we will use this access to set up the GA4 property, transfer data, and verify the successful migration once it’s complete.
- Access to Tag Manager (If in Use): If you’re using Google Tag Manager or any other tag management system, we need access to ensure the proper setup of new GA4 tags and configuration settings. This includes creating or updating tags, triggers, and variables as per the GA4 setup. It’s also necessary to ensure that all tracking codes (such as event tracking, conversion tracking, etc.) are correctly migrated and functional in the new GA4 environment.
